Voorburg – Spinozalaan

In Voorburg I went through a park at the Spinozalaan, heading for my studio where I teach, when I came across some geese with their young. One of the parents always is on the lookout and this one was sizing me up. Eventually he or she did not mind too much and I was able to make some great photos. I would have loved to draw there live but these scenes simply do not last but for a second or two.

Composition

I liked the composition of the curved necks creating a rhythym in the wavy grass they were eating. The style is somehow similar to my previous drawing Beek 11-06-19. My objective was to relate the trees at the back to the young geese. The buildings in the back (Het Zeilschip) i kept quite simple in order to keep the focus in the foreground. No one has remarked the geese clouds in the sky though. Do I have have to put a warning sticker on them or am I just to subtle?
