On the cigarette ad I wrote: “from Scrath” offering two meanings with regard to the blues man himself and the great tempter.

The ad by the way was a Miss Blanche poster but I found out later the brand is dutch and never could have been seen in Mississippi in the 1930s.

A dear (white!) friend of mine served as model. The hat is my granddad’s and the guitar is a relic of a non-successful musical era gone by.
