Surrealistic portrait oil painting

Reims (2009)

A surrealistic piece of a former girlfriend from Reims. The most difficult piece was the cathedral. I spent almost a month doing such a small section of the painting. Initially I had one statue too much or too little and came to that conclusion after two weeks of painting. I didn’t want to be a joke of some art critique in the distant future and of her, being a Remoise after all. So I redid it and spent another two weeks with -3 zero brushes, cramping my hands.
