Sketching, looking over the crops at Waterlandkerkje, Zeeuws-Vlaanderen, Zeeland, Netherlands. In my parents’ house there is this waterpainting of crops at Goerree-Overflakkee by Ad Merx and I study that thoroughly. It show all there is that needs to be know about creating maximal depth by gradually decreasing tonal bandwidth across the paper.
