A Second Ode

A second ode to pin-up and 1950s’ U.S. celebrity Bettie Page. I’m thinking of cross-overs here – between realism and cubism. Still not there, I think because I think the forms are rather ‘closed’ in spite of the fact that I like the roundish shapes of the musculature on her back.

Cubism Light

In fact it could be called be called a kind of styled impressionism or ‘cubism light’ but I don’t mind. I just like making it and perhaps one day one art critic will come up with a suiting name for this type of artistic style. New cubism, started with my graphite pencil drawing ‘The Birth of New Cubism 1 – 28-04-14’,  therefor is just a working title and also evolved to ’roundism’ later on.
