My Frida Kahlo project almost finished.
People asked me what it’s like to teach during this corona pandemic.
Today I have been busy all day working on my Frida Kahlo project. Fine tuning facial features among others.
In these Corona times I returned to my studio at Brugman Art where I started to teach to students (one at a time) again and working on my Frida Kahlo project
On track with my Frida Kahlo project, based on my drawing ‘Sans titre – 11-10-18’. Getting the resemblance right. Covid-19 has entered the scene as well. Lots of work to do.
Not finished yet. Some details to do but my father completed the framing job on my new project ‘The Restoration of Bettie Page (2020)’ (oil on wood panel 85 x 120 cm).
Sneak preview (video) of my new oil painting ‘The Restoration of Bettie Page’.
Another day in the office. The plasterers on the scaffolding are working hard to restore Bettie Page in her full glory.
A new year and my Bettie painting is growing steadily. It was inevitable to throw in a poster.
Bettie has her own tomb and burger diner now. Working on the texture of the desert. I am finding ways to render rocky pebbles, rubble and sandy structures.
