My oil painting Geesje Kwak (2021) was released a couple of weeks ago and some were wondering where I got the idea of the blue jacket from. My mother Marijke Akkers-Kersten makes all my jackets and this one is an exceptional beautiful blue velvet one.

I may have painted it with a smashing YInMn (Oregon) Blue paint by Schmincke, the glory of the jacket belongs to her. Please take note of the shoes I am wearing. Now you know whose shoes are these in the painting.
