Frequently Asked Questions

General

Yes, it will. I always sign my work.

Yes, it will. I always include a signed and dated CoA (Certificate of Authenticity).

Not in most cases. Pastel, colored and graphite pencil drawings need to be fitted in a passepartout and framed behind a glass sheet. The latter especially makes it almost impossible to transport it without fractures. Besides that, passepartout and framing size and color are dependant on the buyer’s taste.

Price calculation of drawings has taken this fact into account. An exception are some of my oil paintings on wood panels. Some of them are framed in order to avoid damage to the edges. In case the art work is offered with a frame, such is stated in the description that goes with the artwork.

I do not share personal information with third parties. Data collected from orders and from email correspondence is held in accordance with European GDPR 2018 laws. See Legal for more.

If you do not have none of the offered payment gateways you can send me a mail (see ‘Contact’ in the menu) and I will send you my banck account.

After the receipt of payment I will send you the file right away. I will update when I will have implemented other payment gateways.

Buying Original Artworks

You can click on the blue cart under the picture of each artwork (see ‘portfolio’ in de menu) and order from there.

The price includes all taxes like VAT, transport insurance and shipping, exclusive possible import duties. These can be charged by the country of destination.

I will contact you directly with a mail as specified by you in the order form. After the receipt of the purchase price I will confirm this and pack and ship the artwork.

Shipment

After receipt of the payment of the purchase pice I will ship the art work as soon as possible and send the track & trace code by mail, whatsapp or any other electronic means as possible, so tracking becomes possible immediately.

That totally depends on size, the purchase price and destination. To all major countries with well established postal services, like the United Kingdom, France, Germany, the U.S., shipment takes about 1 to 2 weeks. To asian countries like South Korea and China shipment can take up to 3 or 4 weeks.

A major factor is whether a certain purchase amount is invoking custom duties to be paid. The fact that art works with a certain value will have to be looked at by local custom services, also is a factor. Shipment within the European Union usually takes a little less time.

No, that is not possible. As soon as the purchase price is received, the purchase agreement is made.

Faulty Goods / Guarantee

First, send me a picture and notify per mail, providing details of the problem. Then I will assess the situation and in case the conclusion it’s not the buyer’s fault I will refund the purchase price.

This is a personal choic but heavyweight matte paper is preferable.

Many office supply stores sell high quality heavyweight matt photo paper that will work well with your desktop printer. You can also use satin, semi-gloss or glossy paper for your prints, both for my colored as well as monochrome art works.

That is quite alright. I understand that not everyone wants to download a file and take the effort to bring it to a print shop or service.

See more under ‘Prints’ on this page.

Do you see an art work that is not added yet? Mail me and I will put it online for you.

A printable is a downloaded file (from my website to your computer) to print out. On your computer it looks something like below:

How the printable is downloaded
jpg-file-format-variant
How it appears after downloading to your computer

A print is already printed (on paper, alumininum, glass or whatever surface might be convenient).

Because a print is a physical product handled by more parties such as the POD (Print on Demand) website, the actual print company who executes the print order and the transport companies who delivers the print product on your doorstep. I’m also such a party, receiving appr. 9% royalties of each sale by a POD company.

a)

Costs less than a print. Website that offer prints charge money for their added value as well and shipment can be expensive.

b)

You can print them out by your local printshop. Put in a passepartout and framed it will look great.

c)

Sometimes prints arrive damaged or do not suit expectations. Complaints and returns are such a drag long distance.

d)

There are plenty of print shops or services all around the world. A glass window in the frame survives transportation to your home by car better than by plane.

e)

Full control over color, size and appearance of passepartout, surface, framing and glass.

Prints

Yes they are. Click on one of my artworks in ‘Portfolio’ or ‘Shop’ and click the icon in the third bar under the picture. Preferred partner is Redbubble with 90+ print products per artwork.

You can also visit one of the print websites below (links are directly to my prints):

Basically your order through a third party like preferred print parner Redbubble who handles all your orders of printing out my artworks. They are called Print-on-Demand companies (POD)  and cover worldwide service.

That depends. A postcard costs appr. € 3.00 and a fullsize canvas print incl. frame will cost over € 300.00

Each POD website (Print on Demand) I work with has its own ‘not satisfied, money back’ policy. You can read their general conditions.
