I had my mind set to draw the ‘Court’s Pond’ (de ‘Hofvijver’) at The Hague, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands for quite some time. It’s lurking in the dark sometimes – this big facade of adjacent buildings slightly reflecting in the pond. I did a couple of drawings after this one, varying on the theme in a surrealistic, impressionistic and realistic way.
