I was inspired by Mondriaan’s ‘Molen bij Zonlicht’ (‘Mill in Sunlight’) when I did this piece. I executed it in quite expressionistic colours. It is Mill ‘De Vlieger’ or in dutch ‘De Vliegermolen’ at Voorburg, Netherlands. An old mill from 1621 I often pass by on bike. Being there it is as if there is no modern world just around the corner.
