One of the many oil paintings but few still lifes I made throughout the years. The oil painting is about my love for pomegranates: their appearance and their exquisite taste. It is an unusual composition, placing the dominant factor in the middle of painting but I kind of liked it that way. The reflection was dead easy but I struggled to get a nice background. It turned out to be some kind of swirl of transparent blue green and red paints that did the trick, counterbalancing the violence of warm colors in the front.
