Batenburg – 02-08-20
As you may know I often wander about and astray through landscapes I have never been before or in this particular case I know all too well. Batenburg is not far away from Nijmegen, where I was born and raised and upon my word it is a quite pittoresque village along the river Maas.
Berg en Dal – 28-04-19
I planned this study to be completed under an hour. I think I improve. The goal is to prepare me for the outdoor season to come.
The Ooij polder – 27-06-16 (sold)
A little pond situated in the Ooij Polder, Gelderland, Netherlands, near Nijmegen, caused me a lot of trouble. I saw human figures in the treeline and the water reflections but I had to come up with some subtlety so I wouldn’t attrack all the attention to the figures as well to the trees as a given realistic fact.
Strange Goings On At ‘t Meertje – 10-02-16 (sold)
Sometimes it happens that you see faces in trees and water. Such was the case when I came to ‘t Meertje, a place near Ooij and Nijmegen, Gelderland, Netherlands
Nijmegen – Priemstraat – 30-01-16
My hometown Nijmegen at Gelderland, Netherlands in a slight cubistic way but also impressionistic
The protestant church at De Ooij, Gelderland, Netherlands – 27-01-16
An experiment with cubism / roundism applied to a site that’s familiar to me: The former protestant church at the Ooij, at Gelderland, Netherlands.
Filosofendal (Valley of the Philosophers) – 20-10-15
Breaking up a forest into planes of light, darkness and cubistic forms. It’s called ‘The Valley of the Philisophers’ (Filosofendal) at Berg en Dal, near Nijmegen, Gelderland, Netherlands (Nederland).
View on Haaften – 10-08-14
View on Haaften, Gelderland, Netherlands at the river ‘Waal’, done in impressionistic hatched strokes.
Mill ‘De Vlieger’ – 09-06-14
I was inspired by Mondriaan’s orange mill when I did this piece. I executed it in quite expressionistic colours.
Bridge over the river Waal at Nijmegen – 21-04-14
An impressionistic view on the bridge at Nijmegen, Gelderland, Netherlands.
