This graphite pencil drawing ‘Model Session – 06-10-22’ stems from an earlier session. However, I had a model session with my favorite model on the 6th of October 2022.

Melina Noëlle – 17-09-22

And then the day for a planned live model session finally arrived: drawing Melina Noëlle. She is the daughter of Guinnie who is, together with her sister Gaby, responsible for the catering in Brugman art.

Clingendael – 31-08-22

Today, the last day of August, I went to Clingendael with my dear friend Michelle. We were out there to take some landscape pictures and to do some drawing.

Risque – 24-03-22

The first pastel drawing in the Risque series and was long overdue. At the beginning of February I started this one just to fill the time waiting for my students.

Model Session – 14-03-22

While creating my recent series of oil paintings suddenly I felt it was time to have a new model session.

Reclining Nude – 19-09-21

This reclining nude is completed two days after the last model session I held at my studio. Being the first drawing I completed after July’s session means last month’s drawing has not been completed yet. This one was relatively easy though.

Geesje Kwak – 04-09-21

My previous graphite pencil drawing ‘Geesje Kwak – 25-08-21’ was executed in my hatched strokes style and I kinda like it. Sometimes you just feel like doing this or that but in this particular case I understand better why.

Geesje Kwak – 29-08-21

Breitner took a couple of pictures of her in some backyard, perhaps his own. Who knows? For some reason I was inclined to use the principles of singularity as laid down in a drawing like Roundism (Singularity) – 01-06-17.

Model Session – 28-07-21

Together with a student I had a lovely model session at the Binckhorst in The Hague. She invited me to come to her studio because she had a friend who wanted to sit for us. Actually the same sofa was used as for the previous model session.
