Veere – 26-03-20

This graphite pencil drawing ‘Veere – 26-03-20’ is made after a trip to a city I never visited before. Done in my Roundism style with a touch of impressionism.
Veere – 24-03-20
These unusual times cause people to search for new ways to keep their minds busy. Some told me they binge watch or take virtual tours online, others turn to books still waiting for them. As an artist I just turn to what I do best for all these years: drawing and painting.
De Hofvijver – 20-03-20

This graphite pencil drawing ‘De Hofvijver (The Court’s Pond) -20-03-20 (Sold)’ is a bit of gloomy impressionism. A blurry homage to Seurat.
Roundism – 16-03-20

Roundism – 20-02-20

This day I got warned by a Reddit group moderator to tag my art work as ‘NSFW’ (Not Safe For Work). That almost exclusively means ‘including nude’: as if one should look at social media or nudity when working at all! Who gets this idea?
Burgundy – 16-02-20 (sold)

And so it came to be, that I was attending to a wine tasting, organized by Jan-Wieger Eikema of the Bourgognespecialist (Burgundy specialist).
The premonition of Bettie Page – 08-02-20

My painting ‘The Restoration of Bettie Page’ heads for its final stage of completion. It just feels right to announce the birth of this painting by someone special and who else could do that better than High Priestess herself: Julia Filament?
