Solarized

The next drawing in my solarized roundism series. It forms a transition from my previous abstracted cubist geometry towards a crossover to realism and surrealism. Like in the previous one Clara 24-04-20 I inverted some of the tonal values whereas in other parts they are kept realistic. The overall body shape is according to my roundism principles. The result is a kind of oily feel caused by a careful selection of harsh tonal transitions combining with very soft ones.

Grease her up!

The model is my regular model of Indian descendance. Her body is perfect for smooth tonal transitions. In the past I asked her to oil her body in order to get fantastic hues shimmering all over her body, fragmentated and scattered by the oil. It works out well with regard to the shift in tonal values. However, I did not use oil this time but I fell back to pictures of photo shoots in the past. They were perfectly well for the purpose and enhancement of the solarisation.
