In hoc signo – 14-10-19 (sold)

I am always looking for inconventional vantage points as to looking at a model and this position seemed both sensual and integrous as implicitely explicit.
Yeast – 18-09-19 (sold)

My model came with this pose Modonna used for one of her albums. Originally it was intented to do square sized pastels because I happen to have 4 spare square frames but today I saw a greater scheme I had to work out first.
Una in aliam – 01-09-19

This oil painting is based on my drawing ‘Nude – 17-06-15’. An artist often sees one thing in another. Salvador Dali saw a rhinoceros in Vermeer’s Lacemaker. I saw a horse in a women’s thigh.
Julia – 02-08-19

Last year I used dancer Julia Gómez Avilés as a model. Next to being a wonderful person for an artist she is ideal because of her flexibility.
Gouda – 07-07-19

This is the fifth drawing of Gouda, a beautiful city in Zuid-Holland, Netherlands, not far from where I live. It is a depiction of the Sint-Janskerk from the Market (de Markt).
A day at the beach – 16-03-19 (sold)

This drawing is to celebrate human achievements and imagination in particular. To see one thing in another is something very real, surreal and metaphysical altogether.
Isis – 25-01-19

Some time ago I saw underwater excavation pictures of Heracleion, an ancient Egyptian city submerged.
Initiatrix – 03-12-18

The third art work in my new series on Egypt. I experimented with my personal style ‘roundism’ in combination with realism and surrealism.
Oudaen – 26-11-18

Last year I was at Oudaen, a city castle at Utrecht, Netherlands which now is a crowdy hotspot for party people. I was dining near the window in the corner with hundreds of people around me but a single cat was lying quietly by the window.
An archeological memory of Bettie Page – 13-11-18

The reference picture I used was slightly different from the one I used for ‘The revelation of Bettie Page (2018)’.
