My model came with this pose Modonna used for one of her albums. Originally it was intented to do square sized pastels because I happen to have 4 spare square frames but today I saw a greater scheme I had to work out first.

This oil painting is based on my drawing ‘Nude – 17-06-15’. An artist often sees one thing in another. Salvador Dali saw a rhinoceros in Vermeer’s Lacemaker. I saw a horse in a women’s thigh.

Last year I used dancer Julia Gómez Avilés as a model. Next to being a wonderful person for an artist she is ideal because of her flexibility.

This is the fifth drawing of Gouda, a beautiful city in Zuid-Holland, Netherlands, not far from where I live. It is a depiction of the Sint-Janskerk from the Market (de Markt).

Oudaen – 26-11-18
Last year I was at Oudaen, a city castle at Utrecht, Netherlands which now is a crowdy hotspot for party people. I was dining near the window in the corner with hundreds of people around me but a single cat was lying quietly by the window.
