I loved to let the women’s forms flow into the sheets around and let them be a part of the body. Mass that desintegrates into lines around it.

I particularly like this one because of the cubist quality of the abdomen muscles and the compositionary division of the negative space in big planes.

The return of Bettie Page – 12-08-15

This is the first roundism oil painting I made of American pin-up and celebrity Bettie Page, after a first drawing I made in the beginning of 2015.

Bettie Page is one person I always admired. Not only she is sexy as hell but also because she deared to flirt with her sexuality in an era throughout the world many were prunes (and still are today).

This graphite pencil drawing ‘Nude – 11-08-15’ is based on the principles of circularity. Concentric circles draw the attention towards the figure.

I thought it would be appropiate to let the model disappear into the negative space all around her so she would be lying there, scattered across the floor and so I did.
