The slanted position of the body inspired me to sketch some waves around it: the infinitive waves of eternity. I kept the focus on the body while tuning down the values in the waves a little bit. I find the combination of waves and the female body quite attractive so I kept the shapes quite roundism style with only a square structure in the leg as a singe anomaly.
Since quite some time now I became fascinated by the implications of golden ratio theories. They are everywhere. Holy Vortices stemming from them and so I employed them earlier, like in Holy Vortex! – 05-2018. I tell my students that, once you know, you see them everywhere, just as buying a red Porsche makes you see red sporting cars around you all the time.
Personally I find this drawing to have become a curious combination of cubism, roundism, realis mand surrealism, all wrapped up in art deco-like chiaroscuro (clairobscur). So you do you think about crossovers like these?
