The first great day of Spring has arrived and my mood for landscape painting and drawing still is growing. I am heading for Zeeland soon and to warm up I made this one of de Kaasman Haven next to the Oude Haven at Zierikzee. Legend has it Zeeland has the greatests of lights and it is true. The sun is catched and reflected by the sea surrounding the islands and then sent astray throughout the flat landscape. I decided to keep this one quite impressionistic, capturing light by blocking them in.
