Not often is it that I depict animals with children but this one is a beautiful exception
Some time ago I saw two horses when I walked across a small meadow. I was on my way to Museum Singer at Laren, Noord-Holland, Netherlands. It so happened that they were standing close to my favorite tree I painted years ago (Autumn Tree at Laren).
In retrospective this is an ode to my deceased cat who died in November 2016. This is her, reclining in the sun, a couple of months earlier, when she was still going strong.
Sometimes they roam about the streets of beach town Scheveningen, part of The Hague, at the North Sea.
This surrealistic drawing was the cornerstone of this series for now. One drawing and three paintings would follow. The drawing is with a private collector from France now.
