When I was walking across the Morspoort Bridge at Leiden I saw this incredible clouds party over Mill ‘De Put’ at the river Rijn towards the Weddesteeg across the water, where Rembrandt was born.

An impressionistic view on Leiden, where I studied. I am often fascinated my reflections in water and there are so many canals to be found over there. The movement of the water is what I put as a central theme in this drawing.

Leiden is famous for its canals and I makes me sentimental when they remind me of my time as a student, walking back drunk from a party feeling sick smelling the water.
