Risque – 18-01-22

impressionist nude pastel drawing

A new drawing in the Risque Series. This time executed with colored pencils. It turned out to become quite different from the previous graphite pencil drawing ‘Risque – 11-01-22’.

cubist nude graphite pencil drawing

This graphite pencil drawing ‘Risque – 11-01-22’ is the third one of Julia Filament after the session of last 30th December. As previously said I found it to be an exciting session during which she took many great poses.

Hold Your Horses – 04-01-22

surrealist nude graphite pencil drawing

This graphite pencil drawing ‘Hold Your Horses – 04-01-22’ was a done deal in my head already during the live session.

Claudia – 06-12-21

cubist portrait graphite pencil drawing

Claudia is one of my talented students and she is about to turn 60 years old. Unfortunately I cannot give it to her personally because a planned surprise party is thwarted by Corona. Some luck however. The drawing will be included in a sort of liber amoricum and at first opportunity next year the party’s on for real. Anyway, I hope she likes it.

Solarized Roundism – 26-11-21

cubist nude graphite pencil drawing

This graphite pencil drawing ‘Solarized Roundism – 26-11-21’ concerns a pose I had my model strike a couple of sessions ago. Strangely it takes me back a year ago when I experimented with solarization during the first lockdown in the Netherlands.

surrealist model graphite pencil drawing

It is time for the elevation of Julia Filament. Sunday 7th November I finally met her again and we went to the Singer Laren Museum. She is a fine artist, graphic designer and great model.

Geesje Kwak – 08-10-21

surrealist girl graphite pencil drawing

After my last graphite pencil drawing of Geesje Kwak -04-09-21 I felt one was missing in the series. I found a perfect mix of roundism and classic 17th lighting in the best Caravaggio and Rembrandt tradition.
