After a bunch of landscapes and cityscapes I felt it was time to return to my roundism ladies. For me changing the theme once in a while is very useful.

Wijk bij Duurstede – 20-05-19

On my walk through Wijk bij Duurstede in Utrecht, Netherlands, I saw these sheep in waving grass that ran all the way down from the dike I was on to the slate tree line.

Berg en Dal – 17-05-19

This graphite pencil drawing ‘Berg en Dal – 17-05-19’ is about one of my dearest childhood memories. Walking down the N70 route was pure magic.

Laren – 30-04-19

When I Laren near the Singer Laren Museum I saw a couple of horses and perhaps they were the same couple as drawn by me in ‘hommage to a dead horse’ last year.

This drawing is a protest and and prestudy altogether. The latter for the sake of a bigger painting and the first because I need to be more clear about nudity once again.

Roundism – 26-03-19

The sheets on my duvet on which my model lay show nice checkered patterns. Her body contrasted them quite nicely and I decided to exploit this to the max.
