Model Session – 28-07-21

Together with a student I had a lovely model session at the Binckhorst in The Hague. She invited me to come to her studio because she had a friend who wanted to sit for us. Actually the same sofa was used as for the previous model session.
26th July 2021 – The Story of the Blue Velvet Jacket

My oil painting Geesje Kwak (2021) was released a couple of weeks ago and some were wondering where I got the idea of the blue jacket from. My mother Marijke Akkers-Kersten makes all my jackets and this one is an exceptional beautiful blue velvet one.

Last Saturday I went to the Heineken Music Hall near the Johan Cruijff ArenA for my second vaccination shot. On the other side of the A2 there is Ouderkerk aan de Amstel, a village to the south of Amsterdam.

8th April 2021 – Framing of Pastel Drawing Meyendel – 10-02-15

Last week I sold a pastel drawing to a dutch collector. Today I framed it with museum glass. This is the result. I am quite content with the result.
