Risque – 24-03-22

The first pastel drawing in the Risque series and was long overdue. At the beginning of February I started this one just to fill the time waiting for my students.

Model Session – 14-03-22

While creating my recent series of oil paintings suddenly I felt it was time to have a new model session.

Reclining Nude – 19-09-21

This reclining nude is completed two days after the last model session I held at my studio. Being the first drawing I completed after July’s session means last month’s drawing has not been completed yet. This one was relatively easy though.

Model Session – 28-07-21

Together with a student I had a lovely model session at the Binckhorst in The Hague. She invited me to come to her studio because she had a friend who wanted to sit for us. Actually the same sofa was used as for the previous model session.

Ouderkerk aan de Amstel – 18-07-21

Last Saturday I went to the Heineken Music Hall near the Johan Cruijff ArenA for my second vaccination shot. On the other side of the A2 there is Ouderkerk aan de Amstel, a village to the south of Amsterdam.

Woman in a Red Kimono – 02-07-21

This drawing of a woman in a red kimono is based on a session with my regular model. It so happened that I teamed up with a student of mine who rents a lovely studio in The Hague.

De Smorenhoek – 17-12-20

Some time ago I visited De Smorenhoek, a small but long meadow surrounded by wood embarkements. From Beek-Ubbergen it runs upwards to Berg en Dal.

Model Session – 16-10-20

After my sketch of Louise Brooks – 10-10-20 I wanted to do more in my hatched strokes style. Yesterday’s model session offered me the opportunity again to draw with a live model in front of my eyes.
