Bedside Moonlighting – 31-08-20
My model and I were looking for intesting poses and on the bedside there it was: a beautiful one with some interesting lighting. Sometimes extreme light like in this particular case can offer a new insight in compositionary possibilities.
Golden brown – 24-08-20
The other day I bought new paper by Talens (Toned Colour Mix): a sturdy dark blue sheet perfect for colored pencil and pastel sticks. I also happened to find an old pastel stick (gold, Cretacolor 48254) that I did not use yet.
The Venus of The Hague – 23-07-20
Being a deep sea fish a coelacanth hardly ever come face to face with a white shark way up high but sometimes it does. If so, what would you expect to happen.
The Venus of The Hague – 09-07-20
Animals kept crawling in so it was inevitable to incorporate them into these series. The first one I saw was a lioness in her thight and second the hares in her buttocs.
The Venus of The Hague – 24-06-20
Next move on my Venus trail. I decided to do another surrealist one or is it? I put in some of my earlier themes like ‘singarity’, ‘the golden ratio’ and combine them with ‘the collapse of the wave function’.
Roundism – 16-03-20
Since Corona has brought a new reality and forces so many countries to lock down, there is nothing much left for me but to teach some of the students that have the guts to show up and in the evenings I spend my time drawing and painting. But hey, the life of an artist always looks that way.
The Implicite Order – 11-03-20
A continuation of the previous painting called ‘The Implicite Order – 20-02-20’, commissioned by an American collector.
Roundism – 10-03-20
The Corona virus roams around Planet Earth and holds everyone tightly in its grip. Everybody stays put and I almost feel suffering from a locked-in syndrom, with no particular place to go and the only expression I can make is through the tip of my pencil and teaching the students that will come.

The golden ratio – 29-02-20
This drawing came into existence very intuitively. I concluded some major projects and I always have a drawing in progress, drawing waiting for my students in Voorburg.
